This project has three parts: the photographing of year 3 classes all around London, the display of these photographs on over 600 billboards around London, and an exhibition of these photographs at Tate Britain .
October 2018 – July 2019
Tate photographers visited schools across the capital, taking class photographs for the artist of tens of thousands of year 3 pupils.

12 November 2019 – 31 Jan 2021
Following the temporary closure of Tate's four galleries on 19 April 2020 in line with advice from Public Health England, Tate re-opened to the public on 27 July 2020, with an extension of Year 3, now open until 31 January 2021.

All 3,128 Year 3 class photographs are displayed as a single work in the Duveen Galleries at Tate Britain, at the heart of the nation’s collection of British art, free for all to visit.
