Mapping Our Hobbies - Terms and Conditions

Agreement 

• By submitting your information in response to this call out, you consent to your hobby being part of the wider project if it is selected at the later project stage. Please do not submit your hobby if you do not wish it to be part of this wider project.
• Artangel is committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we hold about you. By submitting your hobby, you agree to allow Artangel to publish anonymised data such as geographical location and select keywords from your submission. This will be strictly related to the wider project and we will not identify respondents without explicit permission (data collected through Part One of the form only).
• You also agree to the private storage of your submission by Artangel. You can request its removal at any. The monitoring data you may have given in Part Two of the form will be anonymised and stored separately. 
• By submitting information, you are agreeing to being contacted by Artangel and/or one of our partner organisations, and opting in to receive further information about the project but your data will only be held pursuant to Artangel's Privacy Policy.

 

Data Sharing

• Information about your hobby will be stored in a secure database.
• By submitting your hobby, you consent to Artangel sharing some of your information with our project partners (Part One of the form only) to support their presentation as part of the ongoing exhibition programme.
• Where this is the case, your data will only be used for the purposes of this project. Project partners include; Barnsley Civic; CCA Derry~Londonderry; Factory International, Manchester; Glynn Vivian, Swansea; Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool; Museum of Making, Derby; National Festival of Making, Blackburn; Northern Gallery of Contemporary Art, Sunderland; Tate St Ives; Wolverhampton Art Gallery

 

Dates

• Submissions open on Monday 4 December 2023.
• All respondents will be contacted with an update on the project in 2024.
• The wider project will go into production in Spring 2024 for a public exhibition in Summer 2024.
• The project continues into 2025 - 2026 with nationwide presentations in towns and cities across England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. Read more about planned exhibitions across the UK here.

 

Eligibility

• To enter, hobbyists must be based in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
• Part One contains some mandatory fields, in which details of your hobby and personal information including location and contact details are shared,
• Hobbyists of any age can enter the project. Adults and children over 13 can submit their personal information via the web form.
• Submissions for children under the age of 13 must be made by a parent/guardian on behalf of the hobbyist.
