Timed tickets are in operation to visit the exhibition however advanced registration is optional.

Access and Movement

  • The site is a secondary school in Hackney and the entire building is wheelchair accessible.
  • The main exhibition space is inside the sports hall which is on the ground floor.
  • Access to the main exhibition space is via a dedicated entrance to the left-hand side of the main school entrance on Morning Lane.
  • The main entrance into the school is accessible via a ramp.
  • There are 8 steps from main entrance level to the sports hall level.
  • There is a lift from the main entrance level to the sports hall level.
  • The exit is diagonally opposite and there are 8 steps from sports hall level to main street level on Ponsford Street.
  • Exit for wheelchair users is via the arrival entrance and the lift.

Traveling to the Exhibition Site By Public Transport

Train

The closest overground stations are Hackney Central and Homerton.

Bus

205 Morning Lane is serviced by numerous bus routes, including 30, 425, 236, 276, 394 and W15.

Assistance Animals

Assistance animals can be accommodated within the exhibition space.

Please call us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Toilets

Toilets are available inside the school building and they are wheelchair accessible.

Fire Safety

An evacuation plan for the site is provided for. Should it become necessary to evacuate either of the exhibition spaces, Artangel staff will provide assisted escape from all areas and alert the emergency services. Mobility impaired visitors should ensure that they visit with an accompanying person to assist them in the event of an evacuation.

Covid-19 Statement

Entrance / Exit procedures

  • A designated Entrance and Exit door system will be operated during the exhibition.
  • Registration upon arrival will be available.
  • Worn facemasks are strongly advised.
  • Hand sanitisers made available upon arrival.

Physical distancing

  • Maintaining a 1 metre distance (3.2ft) between persons, should be observed at all times, whenever practically possible.
  • In the event that it is not possible to maintain physical distancing, facemasks are to be worn by all persons involved until physical distancing can be reestablished.

Building and public spaces

  • All public areas and seating surfaces will be thoroughly sanitised regularly.
