Salary: £31,000 p.a.
Location: Office-based
Hours: Mon-Fri 10am-6pm

  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time staff) increasing by one day per year completed up to a maximum of six weeks; plus statutory bank holidays, additionally the office is closed between December 25th and January 1st inclusive, this does not come out of your holiday allowance

Role Description

This role will work across Artangel's Marketing and Communications and Development teams, supporting a unified strategy that shapes the journey for our audiences and donors to deepen engagement and drive support. The Marketing & Development Coordinator will assist with planning and scheduling external communications to key stakeholders, including donors and the wider audience. Acting as a key link across activities - from donor relations and events, to project campaigns - the role will ensure communications are well-organised, targeted, and tailored to specific audiences.

Job-Specific Tasks

Marketing & Communications

  • Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager and Digital Coordinator (DC) to implement the audience and content strategy
  • Day-to-day running of social media channels, drafting and scheduling content from approved project copy and in line with signed off campaign plans, ensuing consistent visuals, voice, values and messaging, increasing brand awareness and engagement
  • Supporting to develop campaigns to promote all activity with effective planning across digital channels
  • Growing audience on digital channels including newsletter subscribers and social media
  • Supervised to draft and update web content, direct digital marketing and newsletters, including donor e-newsletters
  • Manage and update the weekly comms planner, ensuring activity across the programme and across various external channels and platforms is logged and content is drafted in line with the schedule.
  • Manage and update third party marketing, including online listings for live projects and events, and supporting comms
  • Supporting flow of assets to partner organisations
  • Supporting supply of materials, data and assets internally to support the work of colleagues across the organisation including the production team, collection activity and development
  • Proofing briefs, assets, newsletters, draft designed content, ensuring consistency

Development

  • Assist with donor communications such as drafting correspondence including thank you letters and invitations, and monitoring inboxes
  • Along with the Development Manager and wider team, help devise, deliver and attend our busy events programme, including logistics, invitations, space and production for events such as previews, performances, dinners, major events and trips abroad
  • Help manage the invitation process including drafting invites and joining instructions on Mailchimp, compiling guestlists and monitoring attendance
  • Maintain accurate database records using Raiser’s Edge (CRM system) in compliance with data protection legislation (training will be provided)
  • Provide support in identifying and recording fundraising income
  • Assist in the production and distribution of the annual limited-edition memento for donors
  • Be responsible for updating the communications schedule as agreed between Development and Marketing & Communications departments
  • Ensure the relevant website pages and the development mailing list are updated.

General

  • Set up ticketing on platforms such as Ticket Tailor and manage bookings and enquiries from the public in consultation with production and marketing

Experience

Essential

  • Experience drafting and publishing public facing comms across leading social media, newsletter and CMS platforms.
  • Effective communication with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of helping to devise and deliver public-facing events, activities, and projects
  • Liaising with a range of external suppliers and contractors
  • Managing budgets
  • Maintaining accurate records

  • Experience of interacting with donors

Essential

  • Highly effective administrative and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong presentation and written skills
  • Familiarity with basic office systems and technologies

  • Knowledge of CRM systems or demonstrable transferable skills

  • Familiarity with an online office working environment utilising Google, Dropbox etc; and Mac hardware and Mac OS
