In 2026, Naeem Mohaiemen's acclaimed three-channel film, THROUGH A MIRROR, DARKLY is travelling to university galleries as part of a series of new presentations.
The film examines the turbulent 1970s, a decade of hopeful rebellions and catastrophic disappointments, via flashpoint moments when American students protesting domestic racism and overseas wars were met by state violence in May 1970.
The tour began this month with its US premiere at the Wexner Centre for Arts at The Ohio State University, where its reflections on the legacy of May 1970 will be experienced by audiences for whom these histories still resonate.
The UK tour is convened by Film and Video Umbrella and will begin this March.
