Purpose of the role

The WWN Co-ordinator will work closely with our WWN Commissioning Editor, Tony Guillan, and Artangel Associate Directors, James Lingwood, and Michael Morris. You will be based at Artangel’s office in London EC1 and line managed by Tony Guillan.

You will play a key role within the core team at the heart of a worldwide network of 28 arts organisations and artists producing new artwork to be experienced on the platform of the WWN, a new global partnership instigated by Artangel in 2021.

The World Weather platform will go live on 21 June 2022. All 28 partners in the network are commissioning content for the platform for delivery between June 2022 and June 2023.

Specific responsibilities

Co-ordinate delivery of digital content and assets for the platform produced by 28 WWN partner organisations to a schedule agreed with the WWN Commissioning Editor
Support WWN Commissioning Editor in gathering artist and network partner assets/bios ready for the launch of the WW platform
Support WWN Commissioning Editor and Artangel in ensuring assets for a series of special events and programmes on the platform are delivered in a timely fashion so as to maximise marketing and press plans
Work with WWN Commissioning Editor to set up email marketing, GDPR and manage email newsletters
Be the first point of contact for general and network partner CMS issues
Manage WWN social media channels within overall digital marketing strategy agreed with WWN Commissioning Editor
Co-ordinate meetings of working groups comprising individuals from WWN (currently Steering Group, Platform Group, Programme Group and Artists’ Group)
Support WWM Commissioning Editor and WWN advisor Jesse Ringham with press and advocacy marketing on ecology and climate change

Skills and Experience

Strong organisational skills
Ability to work under time pressure
Experience of video and sound editing
Experience of producing short content and posting on social media applications
Experience of managing social media channels and social management software (e.g Hootsuite and Later)
A flair for social media marketing and community building across different social platforms
An understanding of tone of voice and the best use of visuals and other creative media in order to cut-through
An understanding of the principles of SEO, sharing and linking for traffic management across multiple channels
Experience in using Google Analytics to monitor, evaluate and report on performance and engagement on socials
