Artangel International Circle
Artangel has extended its distinctive approach to commissioning with a sequence of long-term projects in different places around the world. Shaped by the visions of artists, they are made possible by the long-term support of an invited group of committed benefactors based around the world.
Artangel's first International project, Roni Horn's VATNASAFN/LIBRARY OF WATER, Iceland
The International Circle supports Artangel's work with international artists in the UK and enables the realisation of major one-off projects overseas.
The first Artangel international project is located in the small Icelandic town of Stykkishólmur. Roni Horn’s VATNASAFN/LIBRARY OF WATER is a unique and enduring legacy to the artist’s ongoing fascination with Iceland and its environments.
Ambitious new long-term projects are currently under development for specific locations in North America, India, Spain and Bosnia.
International Circle members make a five year commitment at a substantial level of support.
