Artangel International Circle
Artangel has extended its distinctive approach to commissioning with a sequence of long-term projects in different places around the world. Shaped by the visions of artists, they are made possible by the long-term support of an invited group of committed benefactors based around the world.
Artangel's first International project, Roni Horn's VATNASAFN/LIBRARY OF WATER, Iceland
The International Circle supports Artangel's work with international artists in the UK and enables the realisation of major one-off projects overseas.
The first Artangel international project is located in the small Icelandic town of Stykkishólmur. Roni Horn’s VATNASAFN/LIBRARY OF WATER is a unique and enduring legacy to the artist’s ongoing fascination with Iceland and its environments.
Artangel's second international commission is Mike Kelley's Mobile Homestead, to be completed in late 2012 in Detroit, USA – Kelley's home town. A third major international project is being developed in Spain.
International Circle members make a five year commitment at a substantial level of support. For more details please email Maria Carroll or call 020 7713 1400.
