145 Bow Road was a derelict early nineteenth-century detached house on a busy car and pedestrian highway. Kumiko Shimizu adopted the building and revitalised
the façade with colourful decoration which involved
the painting of certain areas and the arrangement
and attachment of abandoned and salvaged objects
from the neighbourhood.
