LES LEVINE
Blame God
September 1985
At sites around Chalk Farm and Elephant & Castle in London, Les Levines billboards were prominent even amongst the plethora of consumer marketing imagery. Levines works pointed out the absurdity of strife and genocide world-wide in the name of God, deriving their inspiration mainly from the situation in Northern Ireland. The billboards highlighted hypocritical standards and dubious righteousness.
